In the late 90s she started acting in TV and since then has played in numerous films such as The Woods Blue Car Murder by Numbers Blood and Chocolate and The Anna Nicole Story. Bruckner started her acting career when she was 11 years old. She was a part of commercials in the pilots of a couple of television shows and on the daytime soap The Bold and the Beautiful in 1999. Her first lead role as a performer was on the screen in Blue Car (2002), an independent film in which she played a teenager in high school, who shared interacted that included David Strathairn as her teacher. Bruckner was awarded an Independent Spirit Award nomination for "Best Female Lead" for the part. She was raised with three brothers and a sibling. Her routine was to learn Hungarian in order to improve her language proficiency. Bruckner is a Hollywood California native born to an Hungarian as well as a Russian father who separated from their mother previously as well, was raised by her German paternal grandparent. Her parents met in Hungary and came into the U.S. in 1984 through an asylum camp in Italy. She has three siblings with two sisters as well as one brother.
